Mr. Meitzner is a lifelong resident of Wichita who attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School before graduating from Wichita State University. He has been a lifelong Catholic and is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Pete was employed with the banking industry in Wichita for thirteen years before venturing into the world
Mr. Meitzner is a lifelong resident of Wichita who attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School before graduating from Wichita State University. He has been a lifelong Catholic and is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Pete was employed with the banking industry in Wichita for thirteen years before venturing into the world of entrepreneurship when he started a telecom company that eventually was publicly traded on the NASDAQ exchange.

Pete’s experience with budgeting, and his knowledge of the community is necessary for keeping our region moving in a positive and responsible direction. His previous business experience allows him to work closely with numerous State, County, and City governments all over the United States. Pete’s seven years as a City Council member and three years as a County Commissioner has proven to be a large part of the positive momentum we have recently experienced throughout our community.
Mr. Meitzner is committed to helping the Sedgwick County region become an even greater area to live and work. His previous experience as a City Council member and now a County Commissioner has proven his commitment to the citizens of Sedgwick County and beyond.
Pete is married to his wife of 41 years, Suzi Meitzner, and they have two children, a son and a daughter.
